There is Geocaching and then there is AsheCaching!
What an exciting way to get acquainted with the Asheville Area!
We are one of three bed and breakfasts and seven other lodging establishments participating in the Asheville Chamber of Commerce's "AsheCache" geocaching treasure hunt which begins May 22nd and runs thru June 25th.
And, we had a winner! Eric, our 12 year old guest found the first outdoor treasure, and is now the proud owner of a two person hammock!
We have a Garmin Etrex Legend hand-held GPS for you to use (on a first come first serve basis).
If you have a GPS in your car, it accepts coordinates as a destination, and you can remove it and carry it with you, you're all set.
However, if you have been lusting after a Garmin Nuvi 350 or 660 but couldn't really justify it, here's your chance! Both models (and perhaps others) allow you to enter your destination using coordinates and they can be taken outside the car.
And, that's what is required to do the Ultimate AsheCache!
The caches are replenished each Tuesday at noon, so you'll want to be here mid-week.
